Which type are you?

There are many ways to make money using the Internet, and those who do so can be grouped into a number of broad categories. There is no real `Right` or `Wrong` way to go about it, each method has its followers and someone, somewhere has had success using it. As soon as you find the technique you like best that works for you, the only real advice is to stick with it!
There's no such thing as a Guaranteed plan. There's no big secret and there's no-one but yourself who you can blame if it goes wrong.
Here, just for fun, are some of the Internet Marketers you could meet in your adventures:
The Downline Builder The DB is obsessed with MLM, Matrixes, Spillover and the latest hot guaranteed pay-plan to hit the net. He likes nothing more than a big list of names beneath him, preferably paying something towards his lifestyle. He may build his downline further by helping those beneath him or he might just prefer a thousand names in his level one.
The Traffic Junkie This breed of marketer will normally have one of the other types as a sideline but it's hits he craves most. His days are spent clicking hit exchanges, writing ads, tweaking meta tags and keywords and buying hits directly. He'll want his site #1 in his field and doesn't care how he does it. As long as you get there - he's happy.
The Mail-List Builder He just wants your name and e-mail and will stop at nothing to get it. He'll throw bonuses upon bonuses at you until you give in. Visit any one of his websites and you'll be greeted by automatic mailing sign-up boxes or endless `Gimme your addy!` pop-ups, pop-unders or both. Once you're on his list you'll be glad to receive his ad-sheets and welcome the opportunity to click the thousands of affiliate links you'll find inside.
The Serial Subscriber The SS loves to receive hundreds of emails into his 25 e-mail accounts no matter where it comes from. He might even just read some of it. Usually it's the signup bonuses that tempt him but once he's downloaded the e-books or received the free e-mail course he doesn't want to know anymore. Everytime the latest whizz-bang hot amazing never-before-seen payment plan comes along he's first in line to sign up. Then forgets about it. What' s all this mail you're receiving? SPAM!!! The truth is most of what you think is spam is actually from something you've signed up for, so stop crying.
The Product Creator These love e-books. Grab a few articles off the internet. Repackage them, or if you're really clever re-write them, then as if by magic you have your very own infoproduct! Slap up a mini-site, attach a 50% payment plan for affiliates and there you are - instant riches!
The Auction Trader The eBay fanatic will start life selling everything he can find in his home. Then he matures into an international wheeler-dealer, buying in bulk from trade sources and putting quick pages onto eBay just undercutting the last person to sell the same thing. Whether its Banned CD's! Laser Pointers! eBay Secrets! or whatever the Auction Trader has been there.
The Affiliate/Reseller Why bother building a product when they're already out there? Who cares if you're doing all the work to make half the money and give the Product Creator his own fortune? The Affiliate or Reseller will flog something to death and then move on, a trail of broken mini-sites behind him.
The Spammer These lurk in the dark corners of the net stealing your addresses and setting evil robot spiders loose on the web to scavenge what they can. Once its in their possession it's too late - you're doomed. The Spammer has sold his soul to the devil in exchange for a .0000001% clickthru rate, and he'll stop at nothing to spam enough to make it work.
The Guru This wise old man is the fountain of all knowledge. Sometime in the past when the web was young and marketing was easy he made some money so now hes the only one who knows the right thing to do. The Guru loves his name and will keep reminding you just how clever he his. You've just GOT to buy his latest book just in case you miss his Important Revelation.
There is one final Marketing type that is GUARANTEED to make money. He's above all the others. He knows a good thing when he sees it and long ago learned that the easiest way to make money is from OTHER Marketers. All the types listed above are his lifeblood.
The God Also known as the Service Provider. The God runs the Affiliate Processing, the Credit Card Merchants, the Site Hosting, the ISPs, the AutoResponders, the Traffic Programs, the MLMs. No matter how much the other Marketers make he will make more.
