This may seem somewhat shocking to a person initiated in the process of literally worshipping global sourcing, multinational purchasing and the trade of wholesale products from China. Nevertheless the truth remains that there is some dark side of the picture as well and in this article we will have a look at some of the possible disadvantages which global sourcing, multinational purchasing and the trade of wholesale products from China might have on the nation or the common people in the long run. One biggest drawback which might be a cause of concern for the developed nations of the world where quality rules the roost is that lack of same in products bought from China either through global sourcing, multinational purchasing or the trade of wholesale products from China. Although the government in China pays a lot of attention and care to ensure that fair trade practices are followed and the quality of Chinese products crossing the border either way is upto the requisite standards. Yet some loopholes do exist and certain amount of substandard products might be crossing the national border either in the form of global sourcing, multinational purchasing or the trade of wholesale products from China. Another negative aspect that is worrying certain human rights organizations is the exploitation of labour especially belonging to the weaker economic sections of the society. Activities like global sourcing, multinational purchasing and the trade of wholesale products from China offer a huge demand for resources in the form of manpower etc. and therefore companies tend to extract maximum benefit out of the worker in order to survive in the competitive market. However this might take a toll on the standards of living and working of the worker. However it must be said that despite the concerns in certain areas, the Chinese market offers tremendous opportunities for global sourcing, multinational purchasing and the trade of wholesale products from China. More improvements should be done by the government and private sector to ensure that activities such as global sourcing, multinational purchasing and the trade of wholesale products from China continue to occupy important position in the Chinese economy.
