Creating an e-book is an easy way to get you feet wet in the world of internet marketing. Many people delay writing their own because they don't know where to star; some useful hints are detailed below. There is no reason why at first you cannot hire other people to carry out some if not all the work for you until you feel confident enough to ‘go it alone'.
The topic for your e-book should come from research carried out in articles you have written, possibly on a subject you have knowledge about. A good method used to practice before you start is to write some articles on the topic of your book and then distribute them on the internet to promote the book you are writing; free publicity! If these articles are sent to article directories, within a short space of time you should have a very good idea how many people have shown an interest and can estimate how successful it will be.
Once this is complete you can start writing the content of the e-book and work out how you want it to look. You book should be in three to four sections and will contain an introduction, the main body of the material, a closing chapter and possibly some additional material too. You can also increase the value of the book by adding some bonus material or sections.
Once each article is written, place it into the e-book so you will have a better idea of how long it will be. Because e-books are usually shorter than a printed version, no-one wants to read material that has been added that is not related so it is best to stay close to the topic of the book. As computer screens are notoriously awkward to read with comfortably, a shorter more concise book is appreciated.
Most e-books contain extra or bonus information collected by the author; be on the look-out for this so you can provide some too. This can be some additional articles you have written to another short report. Any extra material you supply will need to be worthwhile on its own and be related to your e-book subject.
